Law of Attraction CoachCreative visualization isn’t difficult, but it does take some practice. The great thing is that once you get the hang of it, it is so easy to do that you can slip into CV-mode anywhere, anytime.

Each one of your senses will be involved in the process of visualization and for the purposes of this article, let’s say that what you want is to attain and learn to ride a horse in western style. Of course, you can visualize anything you’d like, but we’ll just use this as an example of how all your senses will be present in the visualization.

The first thing you’ll do is close your eyes and visualize yourself riding the horse (the thing you’ll love the most about owning the horse – and the ultimate goal). See yourself placing the saddle blanket on the horses back, then hoisting the saddle up onto the pad. Now you’re connecting the cinch strap, and up you go into the saddle!

Notice how the saddle feels beneath you, and how your feet feel in the stirrups.

Now, let’s get more of your senses involved.

Visualize taking a deep breath, and smelling the hay as your horse passes by the barn. Is it spring? Summer? Are there flowers or trees nearby that you can also smell? The scent of a horse is kind of spicy-sweet. Can you smell that?

As you give your horse the signal, he goes into a trot and then a lope. Feel the wind as it moves over your face. Look around at what’s around you as you ride. See the trees going by faster, and hear the wind rushing past. Listen to your horses hooves as the pound the ground beneath you.

Apply a bit of pressure to the reins and slow your horse down. Feel him breathing heavily, and listen to him as he snorts or whinnies. See his mane fluttering in the breeze and reach down and pat his neck feeling those strong muscles underneath, thanking him for a great ride.

As you come out of your visualization, give yourself some time to transition from a relaxed, restful state, to a fully lucid and awake state. Don’t jar yourself awake, rather, make it a pleasant transition back to the real world.

Practice creative visualization two or three times a day, for about 15 minutes each time. First thing upon waking, and right before you fall asleep are great times to practice, and do a session during the day to recharge and refocus yourself!
